DESCRIPTION:The course offers the knowledge and skills necessary to assist with remediation activities following a hazardous materials incident.  It is designed to meet the training guidelines outlined in the OSHA 1910.120 and WAC 296-843 standards. \n       Who Should Attend?  General site workers (such as equipment operators\, general laborers\, transport vehicle operators\, and supervisory personnel) engaged in hazardous substance removal where they are required to wear personal protective equipment.  Employees previously 80-hour\, 40-hour\, 24-hour or 8-hour HAZWOPER trained. \n       Cost?   $250 per person (lunch\, Study Guide\, 2020 Emergency Response Guidebook (ERG)\, NIOSH Pocket Guide included) for 2023.  *Cost will increase to $260 for 2024* \nNote: If you would prefer a self-paced virtual training\, select OTHER EVENTS above.

DESCRIPTION:This training involves proper handling techniques for employees and employers involved in shipping and receiving hazardous materials to comply with DOT’s 49 CFR Subpart H\, along with reference to the IATA and IMO regulations. \n       Who Should Attend?  Employees involved in the shipping and receiving of hazardous materials by ground or rail transportation.  In accordance with DOT regulations\, employees will receive training on: General Awareness/Familiarization. Marking and Labeling\, Shipping Documentation\, Placards\, Separation/Segregation\, Transportation Safety Practices\, and Security Awareness.
